Instants - Jean-Manuel Simoes

I think everyone has felt this deep desire to drop everything seek a life of more ease, if not for anything else.
Photography is the same, and regularly I feel like giving up films, chemistry, prints, process … to go to the most simple.
And then … well … what is the simplest ?
I devote a certain admiration for all those who had the courage to break away from all these techniques and material contingencies opting for the device as simple as possible. The price range of this surrender casino online to technical developments is a complete lack of room for error, the reward is that remain free to focus on the shooting act.
I notice that in general those are also the ones who make the most simple tasks, and therefore the most difficult. No artifacts but much humanity, gaze, sensitivity; No catch, no long speeches or texts, just watch and feel. Transmission by looking !
Far from claiming that courage I”m still tempted by the camera of my daughter, a digital snapshot type that out the photo right away on real paper, and go hang out in the streets of my neighborhood and some Parisian parties.
I do not know if it”s related to the lack of possibilities on process or the photographic process itself but it”s pretty fascinating to see what detachment with pleasure and I could move forward in this series. It is quite fascinating to see the effect that still produces this kind of device on the people pictured.
The magic of photography is real
