Photography and advertising often mix together … not all the time.
As a photographer , whose questioning of my own survival after the nearly disappearance of my job, I have to say advertising is often seen as an enemy. As a citizen as well !
First of all, advertising creates a world that does not exist , has never existed and will never exist , secondly advertising took the whole place !
Newspapers visual space is now monopolized by the images that we will find the posters in the subway, in the street, on the bus , on the walls …
Unable to fight against this profusion of images , this mix , then unfortunately weapons or too uneven. So why fight if the result is known in advance ? at least not in this area. Change field simply ! Having no place to show my photos, a few months ago I decided to stick them in the streets around my home. This work has evolved rapidly to this series entitled ” My last campaign ” . A Parisian gallerist then suggested we have un happening around this work, and I took the game .. communication .
I decided to post a photo a day on the Facebook event page titled ” la nuit des PubliPhobes”. After the event I will continue my series for one year. An exercise that requires rigor , but actually quite easy. I just need to dive into my archives to get thousands of photos never seen by anyone , lack of space to display them.
